JESUS VILLICANA
Attorney Jesus earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2013 from the University of Texas – Pan American. In the summer of 2015, Jesus had his first exposure to immigration law, when he served as an intern in the Department of Justice at the Executive Office for Immigration Review in Harlingen, TX. This immersion with the Immigration Courts, ignited a deep interest in the practice of immigration law. During his time in law school, he joined an established immigration law firm as a law clerk in the summer of 2016, writing legal briefs, motions, complex affidavits, doing research on difficult cases, and case management. He acquired extensive experience to become one of the firm’s rising stars. Jesus graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree, from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2017. That same year he became a licensed attorney under the State Bar of Texas.
As a licensed attorney, Jesus has worked with the most vulnerable clients who are facing the immediate threat of removal. After being detained and/or placed in removal proceedings, Jesus has successfully secured bonds and favorable rulings from immigration judges and officials at USCIS on behalf of clients. Moreover, Jesus assists unaccompanied children and their families to navigate the complex immigration system.
